I’m Presenting at Macstock!
I am excited to be giving my first conference presentation since 2017 at the Macstock Conference and Expo next month!
The workshop will help attendees create automated systems for their creative projects: both purposeful folder structures and project management workflows that actually get the work done.
I was interviewed on the MacVoices podcast, which you can check out here to get some more details.
If you are coming to the conference, let me know! If flying to Chicago is not in the cards, you can also sign up for a digital ticket and get recordings of all of the workshops. Consider using my code MIKEBURKE50 when you register, I’d appreciate it!
Livestreams
Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about the process of creating training content, so I thought it might be interesting to use this Macstock presentation as a way to share the process I go through to create live learning experiences.
Over the course of some number of livestreams, I will go through my entire creative process for producing a live learning event. From concept and mind mapping to creating visuals and prepping for the session, I plan on working on the entire thing on camera. To be clear, this will be an unedited, unscripted working session from start to finish, so don’t expect my usual videos!
I’m not claiming to have all the answers, but over my career thus far, I have been responsible for over 30 million minutes of human attention during live learning experiences. From teaching kindergarteners about their center of gravity, to teaching high school students how action potentials work, to teaching world-class healthcare providers how to use HR software, I have worked with many different populations and subject matters, so I have a unique view on what live learning should look like.
We’ll see how this goes, but at minimum, these livestreams will provide accountability to make sure I am ready for my presentation in a month.
If you are interested in seeing that process, head over to my YouTube channel and check out the livestream!
