Using A Spreadsheet for Classroom Attendance- Advanced Skills

Recently I made a YouTube video and blog post about how I keep track of student attendance in my classroom using spreadsheets. Those resources showed you how to use conditional formatting to highlight students’ statuses and how to use data validation to create drop-down menus in your spreadsheets.

In this post, I show you how you can extend conditional formatting to highlight other cells and how you can use the count if function to keep track of the number of attendance variations each of your students has over the year.
